Updated 01/30/2000
New Furniture has arrived and installed today.
(Wood stripping and refinishing is due as, apparently, the stocks do NOT match)
Skin by Stealth-Coat.

Final (almost) configuration for this rifle.
After completion of matching stock colors, this baby is THRU!
Here are a few closeups of the gun component groups. Very proud of this project.
It garners attention at EVERY range!

Below are some of the "development" shots of this project. I wish now I had included the bipod in the orignal configuration pictures, so a more comparable analysis would be possible.
Here is a pic of a similiar rifle for sale on Gun Broker that looks almost EXACT to my original rifle.

(She's come a LOOOOOONG way, huh?)

Gun, as assembled from original condition parts (pretty rough).
You cannot see it here, but the barrel is full length with the Heavy Bipod assembly attached.

Same gun, after completion (and Stealth-Coat), with BLACK furniture.
Notice the barrel is reduced to 16" and a Smith brake is also attached.
I am awaiting a new wood buttstock. Upon arrival, I will post pics of the gun in "real" wood dress.

Here's a close up of the condition of the receiver groups before refinish.
Again.... pretty rough.

Here's a closeup of the groups AFTER being refinished.
I highly reccommend Stealth-Coat. It has the best look coupled with corrosion resistance of any of the finishes I have seen out there!
This whole gun was completed and shiped back for a bit
LESS THAN $200.00!!
Total turn-a-round time was about two weeks.

After chopping the barrel to 16", I installed a Smith muzzle brake. Notice how we beveled the rear of the brake to contour to the barrel.

Here's a close-up of the muzzle (after refinishing) with the black furniture.
The Stealth-Coat really shows up good here.

Here is a rather menacing look from the little "Black Knight".
